The perfect verse for a Monday.
Whether you're a student, a teacher, a mother or a police man, devote yourself to your labor knowing that you answer to the Creator. No matter how mundane the task, unpleasant the work or unappreciative your earthly boss, your job this day was ordained by God. You are exactly where he wants you to be doing exactly what he wants you to do. God created us for what we are to do this day. So work or study today not for your own reward, and not for the approval of men, work today for the glory of God.
"You are serving the Lord Christ." Colossians 3:24
Dear Lord:
Thank you for the work you have set before me today. Please help me devote myself to it for your glory and not my own.
